19th Century British Library Newspapers – A Gale Digital Archive

19th Century British Library Newspapers has been developed by Gale in partnership with the British Library. It includes national, regional and local 19th Century British newspapers, taken directly from the holdings of the British Library. The collection contains over two million pages from 48 newspaper titles and unlocks extensive newspaper content which is invaluable for the research and study of 19th Century history.

The papers have been carefully selected by an editorial board from the British Library. The collection provides a broad yet detailed view of British life in the 19th century; from business to sport, from politics to entertainment and the arts. The collection is made up of daily and weekly publications and reflects Britain’s growing role as a superpower in the 19th century world.

This product is available as an ongoing subscription to libraries and other qualifying institutions.
